ABOUT US

OUR IDENTITY

Pottery Tree Studio is a creativity haven, founded by Celeste, a passionate and experienced potter. She has had a lifelong desire to teach and now, with her four special needs children grown, she's able to bring together her love of pottery with her desire to share it with others. The studio offers weekly classes and workshops, encouraging experimentation with all aspects of clay. This includes wheel throwing, hand building, molds, and slab work. With the forgiving process of pottery— "If you mess up, you just put a new piece of clay on the wheel and try again”.

OUR WORK PHILOSOPHY

ABOUT US

OUR WORK PHILOSOPHY

Celeste takes an individualized approach to teaching students how to work with clay on the pottery wheel.

To accomplish this all classes stay under 4 students.  During weekly sessions, she takes the time to learn each student's unique throwing style, helping them adapt to the new world of working with their hands to create beautiful pieces. By customizing, troubleshooting, and working with each student's individual style, it becomes a more natural process and a greater reward for them. She believes each student thinks differently and processes differently, and their bodies and hands are shaped for their uniqueness. This means that the approach to working on the wheel should be tailored to what works for them.

Studio address Mckinney Art House - 502 N Kentucky st. Mckinney Tx 75069

To find the class follow the driveway of the school to a building with an air conditioner unit.  This is my studio.  Go through the two gates and you will see my door at the bottom of the stairs of the back porch of the school.
